At KCVS, we are proud to be participating in the National LGBTQ+ Belong To Quality Mark initiative, a programme dedicated to fostering wellbeing and inclusion for LGBTQ+ young people in schools across Ireland. This initiative focuses on four key areas: creating an LGBTQ+ inclusive culture, resourcing an LGBTQ+ inclusive curriculum, nurturing LGBTQ+ inclusive relationships, and supporting inclusive policies and planning.
Since beginning our journey in the 2024-2025 academic year, we have made significant strides, including establishing a core teacher team, completing 100% of staff e-learning and in-person training, and actively engaging in national events like Stand Up Awareness Week. We have also drafted a comprehensive school action plan and gathered valuable input from staff, students, parents, and our Board of Management. We are excited to work towards receiving our accreditation from Belong To in the 2025-2026 academic year. Through this initiative, we are committed to ensuring every member of our school community feels valued, respected, and included.

Please meet our core teacher team.
