Mr Doyle’s History: Teaching and Learning
This term in History our first years have been fully immersed in the new junior cycle course, our students have learned about the Archaeology, Ancient Rome and Early Christian Ireland. Our students practiced their archaeology skills using household items such as toothpicks/brushes and cookies to learn how to conduct an archaeological dig by extracting chocolate chips carefully without breaking the artefact. Our second years have learned about the Age of Exploration and the Reformation. Pictured below is our second years completing a storyboard matching exercise on religious reformer Martin Luther. Our third years have completed both WW1 and WW2 this term, it has been a busy few weeks and students have been completing exam style questions in preparation for their November exams.
